Olympus America Deploys Oracle CRM On Demand

Oracle CRM On Demand is helping Olympus America to provide its Medical Systems Group sales team with comprehensive visibility into account activities, powerful reporting and analytics tools, an intuitive user interface and a single, Web-based system that helps eliminate data synchronization problems.

Olympus America is a precision technology provider that creates innovative opto-digital solutions in healthcare, life science and consumer electronics products. The company was searching for a scalable, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) implementation that could keep up with the company's expanding user base. The officials also wanted the solution to interface with other systems and provide a single repository for sales opportunities, account information, new completed accounts and sales-related activities.

Oracle (News - Alert) CRM On Demand addresses all the needs of the company delivering Olympus America’s Medical Systems’ sales force account visibility and powerful reporting tools in addition to customized fields for product lines and business processes. The solution also provides the sales force with custom reports to display account and contact-ranking data.

Oracle officials inform that in less than two months, Olympus rolled out a customized Oracle CRM On Demand deployment on time and on budget to more than 400 users and sales professionals in three distinct sales groups throughout the U.S. In addition, Olympus provided remote training to users across the nation as well as aligned accounts based on zip codes that assigned three different sales professionals to the same account.

Olympus America's Medical Systems Group intends to move ahead with the next phases of Oracle CRM On Demand implementation to gain further visibility into customer-based activities. This includes planned integration to other systems and setting up other sales-related functions.

Rick Harbuck, Medical Systems Group vice president, Olympus America, said that they are now able to focus on their efforts on building their business efficiently and effectively as the entire Olympus America Medical Systems sales team is on the same Oracle CRM On Demand deployment.

Olympus was impressed by the quick rollout of the new Oracle CRM On Demand system, according to Harbauck who also expressed their company’s delight at the advanced reporting and analytics tools now available to them.

According to Oracle Senior Vice President of CRM, Anthony Lye, this deployment shows how sales teams can deliver more by working together within a transparent and scalable system that garners even further value for sales opportunities.

Oracle CRM On Demand was recently chosen by DPS Sporting Club Development, a creator of residential sporting communities in the United States and the Caribbean to personalize and manage client relationships.
