CA Helps SMBs Meet Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Requirements

CA’s Instant Recovery On Demand, a new turn-key business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) service is helping small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) ensure continuous availability of applications and data, even in the event of a critical systems failure or disaster and without additional IT infrastructure costs.

"SMB IT organizations need an affordable and manageable way to ensure non-stop business operations and continuous data protection," said Jon Toigo, CEO of Toigo Partners International, a 25 year veteran disaster recovery planner and author of five books on disaster recovery planning.
By providing a business continuity and disaster recovery managed service, CA (News - Alert) helps SMB organizations meet all these requirements.
In November, the company  announced it was expanding its three new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) offerings across its Enterprise IT Management (EITM) and Governance portfolios to help customers rapidly and cost-effectively maximize the business value of their software implementations.
Over 1,000 customers worldwide use CA SaaS and hosted solutions to improve IT economics.

"A key differentiator between CA Instant Recovery On Demand and many other managed BC/DR offerings is that we can offer them a turnkey solution with no requirement for additional hardware or software," said Adam Famularo, senior vice president and general manager for CA's Recovery Management and Data Modeling business unit.
SaaS, also known as software "on demand," is a model in which software is developed, hosted and operated for use by customers over the Internet, who do not own the software, but pay to use it.
Instant Recovery On Demand is a comprehensive BC/DR managed service, offered on a subscription-based model. It delivers high application availability without the need to manage complicated and time-consuming provisioning and configuration processes, coping with overtaxed IT resources, and managing limited budgets.
"With CA Instant Recovery On Demand, IT can deliver on this directive with a rapidly deployed, enterprise-class solution without high up-front costs or complication," said Joshua Geist, CEO of Geminare Incorporated, a CA business partner specializing in host-based business continuity services.
CA Instant Recovery on Demand is available for sale and delivery by authorized CA Partners, in North America and Germany as well as EMEA and APAC.
