AFS Gives Distributors SaaS-Based Hosted Order Management System

AFS Technologies Inc., a solutions provider to the food and beverage industry, reportedly announced that it is introducing the channel’s first hosted, full-function Order Management System, on a software-as-a-service monthly subscription basis, to customers.

The On Demand Order Management System provides food distributors to upgrade to OMS suite, with latest technology and functionality, at a lower monthly fee. The OMS offers a comprehensive, integrated solution to food distributors with a centralized sales productivity tool to optimize the efficiency and accuracy of their customer-facing transaction process.

The AFS On Demand OMS suite allows synchronized order entry and order management across the enterprise, like remote-DSR laptops, sales and web-based ordering, integrating with any ERP system. It also lets distributors create multiple customer order guides, user-defined menus and security protocol, to increase sales opportunities reducing order pricing.

Kurien Jacob, CEO of AFS Technologies, said the company’s recent acquisition of IRM Corporation, a provider of SaaS (News - Alert)-based solutions to the food industry, has expanded its ability to offer other AFS solutions in a hosted format model.

Here’s what the company’s Web-based ordering form looks like:

The AFS OMS system effectively replaces the complete sales pricing and order processing function of ERP systems, Jacob said. Older ERP systems do not offer many of the pricing options available in our ‘best of breed’ OMS.

“The low-cost monthly subscription model offered by AFS’ On Demand OMS suite enables progressive companies to improve their position in the market without the need for CapEx,” Jacob said, “and our quickly-implemented hosted OMS solution ensures that they can begin reaping the benefits of a more effective order management system in a very short period of time.”

The SaaS-based OMS solution lets customer select some more added AFS modules to enhance the effectiveness of the order management product suite. Discovery System business intelligence solution, the profit-optimizing Rebate Tracking and Management module, and Profile, product information database, are some of its features.
