Parature Ranked Among Fastest Growing Technology Providers for 2008
By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor
Parature, a provider of on-demand customer service software, proudly announced on Friday that it obtained the 219th position in Deloitte's 2008 Technology Fast 500.
The company’s current standing is based on its percentage of fiscal year revenue growth experienced over five years, from 2003-2007, in which Parature grew close to 830 percent.
Deloitte’s (News - Alert) list ranks the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies in North America.
According to Parature's (News - Alert) CEO and President, Duke Chung, the company’s success is associated with the vast market it serves, the high-quality products it offers and their forward-thinking customers.
"Parature is honored to be included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for North America, stated Chung. To be ranked 219 out of 500 fast growth companies in the country is an outstanding accomplishment. Parature will continue to set the standard for support teams worldwide by providing the smartest, most efficient way for organizations to support their customers," stated Chung.
"Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 recognizes companies who have achieved extraordinary growth in North America's most innovative and competitive market sectors," said Phil Asmundson, Deloitte LLP vice chairman and national managing partner for Technology, Media and Telecommunications. "We congratulate Parature on this significant accomplishment."
Parature was also ranked at number 20 on the Virginia Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in the Greater Washington region.
The Fast 500 is compiled from Deloitte's regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. Companies are selected based on percentage revenue growth from 2003 to 2007.
In order to be eligible for The Fast 500, entrants must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant part of the company's operating revenues or dedicate a large proportion of revenues to research and development of technology.
Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify. Base-year operating revenues must be at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD, and current-year operating revenues must be at least $5 million USD or CD. Companies must be in business a minimum of five years, and they must be headquartered within North America.
Parature enables any organization to change the way they support their customers through its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) delivery and integrated, intuitive design that enables organizations to better and more efficiently serve, support, engage with and keep customers. The seamlessly integrated suite of Parature Customer Service software modules allows organizations to manage all of their support needs without additional hardware, software and IT expenses.
Founded in 2000, Parature received the 2007 Product of the Year Award from Customer Interaction Solutions magazine and has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America. For the past three years in a row, Parature has been on the Washington Business Journal's list of Best Places to Work.
