Scio Consulting, Apprenda to Offer SaaS Enablement Services

San Jose, California-based Scio Consulting has reportedly partnered with Apprenda to offer enablement services to software companies that plan to deploy Apprenda’s Software-as-a-Service delivery platform SaaSGrid.

 

According to Apprenda CEO Sinclair Schuller, software companies that want to create new SaaS (News - Alert) offerings often need assistance with their business and product strategies, with developing their SaaS applications, or with modifying the code of an existing on-premise application to move it to SaaS.

 

“Our relationship with Scio enables us to help customers more easily obtain such services and make a smooth transition to SaaS with SaaSGrid,” Schuller said.

 

Apprenda’s SaaSGrid allows independent software vendors to build, deploy, and monetize their service-oriented applications for on-demand use without technological lock-in. SaaSGrid integrates SaaS architecture and business functionality into the non-SaaS Web applications of ISVs.  By choosing SaaSGrid as a foundation, ISVs are able to save considerable time and money which they would have otherwise spent on SaaS delivery intricacies. This way they are also able to remarkably cut down time to market for their solutions.

 

“Essentially, we’ve done for on-demand software development what the operating system did for desktop software development. We’ve created a cloud operating system for SaaS, which provides a new layer of abstraction that takes the burden of creating SaaS-specific technology, architecture and business components off of ISVs shoulders,” explained Schuller.
