USA.NET and HP Offer a Comprehensive Suite of Business E-mail Hosting

USA.NET will provide its hosted messaging and collaboration solutions as a part of the company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) offering for HP channel partners.

The partnership between the two companies will benefit value-added resellers (VARs), managed services providers, IT integrators, and other channel partners. A hosted business e-mail model will provide new revenue streams and help them to become strategic advisors to their clients.

Under the agreement, USA.NET (News - Alert) will work with HP to equip VARs with comprehensive tools and guidance to enable them to offer USA.NET’s suite of hosted messaging, collaboration, e-mail archiving, security and mobility services. VARs will thus be able to generate new revenue streams by offering their small and midsize business (SMB) customers more choice of solution delivery methods.

USA.NET’s hosted messaging and collaboration solutions can be sold to VARs and managed service providers who want to expand their hosting business and to level the competitive playing field relating to size and scale.

The company already shares a business relationship with HP, noted Doug Howard, president, USA.NET. This initiative builds on its strength to help VARs deliver solutions and services that help customers streamline their operations and cut costs. He pointed out that this agreement provides a new source of SaaS offerings for VARs.

This alliance also allows VARs to provide value-added services such as integration, customization and remote provisioning to managed services provider customers.

According to Duncan Campbell, vice president, Small and Midmarket Business, HP, channel partners can evolve their business model and leverage the collaboration between HP and USA.NET to become successful in the software as a service marketplace.

He explained that their collaboration with USA.NET combines a comprehensive suite of reliable business email services along with the necessary elements to help them to enter this market.

“Through our offerings, customers can acquire critical elements of their technology environment from their trusted advisor, -- their channel partner -- as a monthly subscription,” said Campbell.
