The collaboration with Catalyst Resources was brought about to realize Penta's commitment to improve process visibility and provide an enhanced user experience for its construction software development arm.

 

"Our search was primarily for a firm with extensive Enterprise Software and User Interface design experience. At the same time, we needed that firm to work collaboratively with our software development staff to bolster our own internal UI skills," said Cam Smith, Penta Vice President of Software Development.

 

Highly experienced UI architects, designers, and developers at Catalyst Resource are working in conjunction with Penta to evolve a modular and extremely intuitive user interface. This new UI will facilitate relevant stakeholders to access, to the point information.

 

Given the general slowdown in the construction industry, the relevance of the contractor's enterprise software becomes all the more important in the current scenario. Firms will now keenly monitor their software investments and personnel performance taking the economic turbulence into account according to Smith. Penta's solution is aimed at enhancing its product suite for increasing productivity at the customers end and also to manage costs effectively. The developed user interface will undergo extensive testing in the first half of 2009 and will be rolled out during the second half.
