IT services hosting provider Rackspace announced that it is offering Web hosting solutions to software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) vendor Confirmit for another three years. The service is offered for Confirmit’s (News - Alert) On-Demand sites, one located in Dallas, Texas, and the other in London.

 

Confirmit renewed the contract with Rackspace to meet the growing demand for its On-Demand platform. It will use Rackspace’s complete hosting solutions, including 24/7/365 Fanatical support, as well as software, hardware and network support to offer guaranteed availability of the platform to customers and increase the bandwidth and flexibility of the Confirmit On-Demand environment, officials said.

 

Rackspace’s Fanatical support enables Confirmit to ensure compliance with current industry regulations and quality standards, particularly those relating to SAS (News - Alert) 70 type II certification, ISO standards, and Safe Harbor certification for the European Data Protection Act.

 

Confirmit provides SaaS solutions in areas like customer feedback, employee feedback, and market research applications. It offers a wide range of software products for feedback/data collection, panel management, data processing, analysis, and reporting. Confirmit clients include Global 5000 companies and market research agencies.

 

Officials said that Confirmit On-Demand provides access to its software platform via a secure, shared environment over the Web. It guarantees respondent uptime of 99.7 percent. However, in the past few years, Confirmit has surpassed this limit. In 2008, it reportedly delivered 99.94 percent uptime.

According to officials at Confirmit, the company has completed the highest number of interviews on its platform to date, with 118 million interviews taking place in 2008 and 430 million in the past seven years.
