Kovair Software, a developer and supplier of Enterprise Class Application Life Cycle Management and IT Service Management solutions,
reportedly introduced an ALM solution delivered as a Software-as-a-Service, or “SaaS (

“We are very excited to bring Kovair’s industry leading Multi-Repository ALM solutions to the market as an On-Demand or SaaS option in addition to the current On-Premise deployment. A brand new user interface of Kovair’s Release 6.0 with its new multi-tenant architecture provides the best user experience one can have on 100 percent browser based applications,” said Bipin Shah, chief executive officer and chairman of Kovair.
Shah claimed that the company has made SaaS pricing very attractive for the users, and hopefully many companies, which could not invest in enterprise class ALM tools because of budgetary constraints in this market will have a much easier and a low risk decision to make to move ahead with ALM.
He said that this will make Kovair a compelling full function ALM tool in the market. Kovair officials said that initially the company will offer three ALM solutions – Issues Management, Requirements Management and total Application Lifecycle Management.
The total ALM solution will include Requirements, Test, Issues, Risk, Release and Project Management applications all integrated seamlessly with each other. Each of these applications will be at least as comprehensive as any stand-alone application available in the market today, according to the company.
“The On-demand offerings of Kovair ALM will be different from any other similar On-demand solutions in three respects,” said Sky Basu, CTO of Kovair.
Basu said that first it will have a built-in Omnibus – Kovair’s industry leading integration bus technology, which will allow users to integrate Kovair to their existing On-Premise ALM tools from other vendors.
Basu said secondly with Kovair’s very high configurability, users do not have to settle with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ SaaS solution, but can configure, if they wish, an exactly tailored solution to fit their specific needs. And finally, among all ALM solutions, On-Premise or On-Demand, Kovair has the most powerful graphical process technology – Omniprocess, which allows users to automate pre-configured processes or configure their own processes including “Agile (
