Protus Melds Email Service With Biz Com Suite

By Vivek Naik, TMCnet Contributor

Protus IP Solutions has announced that it has successfully integrated its Campaigner e-mail marketing service into its Software as a Service (SaaS) business communications suite that includes its IP technology standalone also tools such as MyFax (News - Alert) and my1voice, a VoIP Private Branch eXchange product.

Protus had strategically acquired Campaigner in June 2008 to broaden its SaaS (News - Alert) communications offerings with Web-based e-mail marketing services for Small to Medium Businesses and enterprise organizations. Prior to the acquisition the email service was called CampaignerPro.
“One of our primary goals this year has been to apply what we’ve learned from our success to Campaigner,” said Joseph Nour (News - Alert), CEO of Protus. “We’ve made great progress in enhancing Campaigner’s usability and strengthening customer support and training services to help our customers implement successful email marketing programs. We’re excited about where we are and about the many additional improvements we’ll be announcing throughout the year.”
Campaigner offers more than 450 ready to use templates that assist customers to instantly create attention grabbing newsletters, postcards and special promotions so that potential customers are guaranteed to at least look into the e-mail instead of relegating it to the scam box without even a glance. It has a new redesigned Campaigner Dashboard that fosters smooth, intuitive navigation, and a new StartUp! feature that offers free template-tailoring and training services so that new users get quickly acquainted.
It also offers free 1-0-1 instant consultation and access to a new online community with online customer-based surveys to enable continuous quality improvements.
Campaigner offers more than 100 free tips, TMCnet earlier reported, for getting started with e-mail marketing business and promises to publish at least two more new ones each week. The suggestions fall into four important categories: building a personalized email foundation, improving delivery, improving the marketing pitch performances, and attempting beyond the box methods with simple advanced email marketing.
The solutions most important and successful tips are to first obtain permission from subscribers, personalize the service by using sender names and addresses, and making opting-out simple, according to the company.
"Search on email marketing ROI and you'll come up with astounding numbers showing email marketing's impact on improving the bottom line, yet research shows that the majority of small businesses don't do any type of online marketing," said Steve Adams (News - Alert), vice president of Campaigner Marketing at Protus. "Campaigner's objective in 2009 and beyond is to persuade as many small business owners as we can to take advantage of email marketing's unbeatable ROI. It's easy to get started and Campaigner can help with our start up services, free tips and free support services around the clock."
TMCnet recently reported how SaaS gives customers the freedom to use and pay for only select components of their choice from software suites, and the flexibility to add other requisites as and when the need arises. Prior to this innovative customer driven request for ‘a use and pay when required only’ approach, entire solutions had to be bought and installed at a significantly higher one-time cost.
In January this year, Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) awarded the 2008 Product of the Year Award to both MyFax and my1voice in their individual categories at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2009 awards ceremony, and deemed MyFax the fastest growing service of its kind.
“Our products have repeatedly earned industry awards and top rankings for delivering a superior customer experience,” said Nour.
my1voice virtual PBX (News - Alert), as  reported by TMCnet, does not require any hardware or physical equipment purchase, is ideally suited for a maximum of 25 employees, and guarantees that any incoming call is received, recorded and rerouted to the next free sales and marketing representative, according to the company.
The solution also offers video mail, voice mail and textual mail extensions for each employee so that any type of communication may be automatically recorded, manually played back and responded to depending on priority and convenience.
