By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor
Vantage Learning, a provider of SaaS (News - Alert) to K-12 schools and districts, announced the launch of Vantage Fusion, which is an integrated solution for faculty, students, parents and other district administrators for meeting data management needs.
Vantage Fusion benefits more than 600,000 students in Europe. The solution is actually a full-featured educational data and information management system, which is designed for administrators, parents, counselors and teachers to track and manage data within their schools and districts.
“ Known for our advanced technology used in schools, including the MY Access Instructional writing program and IntelliMetric automated essay scoring system, we are thrilled to launch Vantage Fusion in the U.S.,” said Harry Barfoot, vice president for Vantage Learning, in a statement. “We are calling it a School Intelligence System because it is so much more than just a student information system.”
“Fusion offers everything educators and administrators need to manage a school or district through a single interface,” Barfoot said. “We expect Fusion will be a hit with U.S. schools and districts, both large and small, and help them be more efficient and fiscally prudent managing data and information.”
It is a single, integrated system, which includes a base set of six modules along with additional seven plug and play modules. This makes a total of 13 SIF 2.2 compliant advanced school intelligence modules.
The modules include Authorization and Administration, Student Information System, Section, School, Attendance, Staff, School Nursing and Health, Counseling Services, Library, Transportation, Communications, HR and Financials, and Fee Management. Also offerings like Assessment and iSEEK Supercruncher reporting are easily integrated into Vantage Fusion.
The SaaS solution is most suitable for all K-12 enterprises, including single charter schools and also large districts in the county providing them with a school intelligence system.
Barfoot explained that Fusion will provide the most innovative, comprehensive, and cost effective school information management system for K-12 districts that is also very easy to implement. The company strives to provide an optimum system for enhancing teaching and learning in the classroom, he said.
Vantage Fusion is designed to be a complete, easy to use, cost-effective system that can be acquired as a turnkey solution or as customized individual modules as required by a district or school. Communication between departments and buildings and parents and students will also be improved.
