AuthenTec has reportedly
unveiled the TrueSuite PC application software, which is designed to make the use of a fingerprint sensor simpler while expanding its features to include one-touch secure access to online social networks and a PC user’s digital identity.
The company deals in providing smart fingerprint sensors and solutions to the high-volume PC, wireless device, and access control markets.
The new TrueSuite software is designed to be a simple and intuitive solution for customers while also being personal and fun. It was developed to promote user discovery of AuthenTec (

Alert) sensors and to make the use of a fingerprint-enabled PC simpler while increasing user convenience and personalization.
The company said that TrueSuite is also optimized for the Windows Biometric Framework within Microsoft’s (

Alert) new Windows 7 operating system and tailored for PC users who look out for simplicity, enhanced usability and secure as-well-as one touch access to their digital ID and social networks.
Features and benefits of AuthenTec’s new TrueSuite software include: simple and intuitive UI; Enhanced security for files stored in the PC; simplified log on to password-protected sites; Capability to customize UI with a range of themes; and simplified export and import of passwords and security settings.
Tom Aebli, AuthenTec vice president of PC products said that TrueSuite can be adapted to low cost notebooks and netbooks. Users can now more easily enjoy many of the unique fingerprint sensor features which were until now reserved for enterprise class PCs.
TrueSuite is a great complement to the AuthenTec’s portfolio of PC sensors, and the company believes this unique AuthenTec application will accelerate the use and adoption of their products. For now, TrueSuite is compatible with sensors made by AuthenTec only and compatibility with sensors made by other manufacturers will be added later.
Aebli said that TrueSuite is an important piece of a complete consumer PC offering from AuthenTec, which includes software and new ‘smart sensor’ hardware that they will be rolling out in the coming months.
