Dazzboard Releases an iGoogle Gadget



Dazzboard has released an iGoogle Gadget in to order to expand its online services, according to the company.
 
Dazzboard is a social media Webtop, providing users with seamless point-and-click connectivity to photos, music, videos and the Internet. iGoogle, a service of Google (News - Alert), is a customizable AJAX-based start page or personal web portal. Its features include the capability to add web feeds and Google Gadgets similar to those in Google Desktop.

 
According to the company, the new Dazzboard gadget brings universal media management to iGoogle and has been designed to provide the same functionality of the Dazzboard device manager. Users can make use of this app to simplify their social media interaction.
 
The Dazzboard gadget allows users to push and pull data instantly between any portable device and a PC, or to move content directly from a device onto the social media Web with drag-and-drop ease. In addition it includes an easy to use interface for uploading pictures and videos to social networks.
 
Dazzboard CEO Tero Salonen noted that they have continued in their spirit of ‘Open iTunes’ approach to universal media management and extending their list of online services to Google users will create more options to control devices and content through a Webtop. If users are accustomed to using iGoogle, they don't have to change over to dazzboard.com to use the service – the service is coming to them. They have also made the installation of iGoogle Gadget very simple.
 
Dazzboard currently supports Windows XP, Vista and 7, Internet Explorer version 6 (XP only), 7 and 8, as well as Firefox 3.X. In the near future, Dazzboard will be compatible with Google Chrome and Mac OS. The company also intends to release APIs for developers to integrate Dazzboard technology for external websites and develop add-ons to utilize the device connection.
 
Dazzboard had made it possible for Palm Pre users to connect to their iTunes with ease, allowing the Palm Pre once again to act like an iPod.
