Teneros Achieves Fifty Percent Growth in Mailbox Deployment with SaaS Solutions

Teneros, a provider of Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange e-mail solutions, announced that their new software-as-a-service high availability and disaster recovery offerings have resulted in fifty percent growth in mailbox deployment.

The Teneros Always On SaaS (News - Alert) high availability and disaster recovery solutions have enabled the company to protect hundreds of thousands of customer Exchange mailboxes during 2009, officials said.

Teneros’ SaaS solutions, delivered via a hosted center or a secure Always-On onsite appliance, eliminates the need for capital expenditure. The service provides corruption-free replication of Exchange e-mail data, combined with Instant-On failover recovery of Exchange services when production systems become unavailable or fail.

“Since our launch in October 2008, a broad array of customers ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises have adopted the Teneros SaaS solutions,” said Manish Kalia, vice president of marketing and founder at Teneros, in a statement.

In 2009, Teneros gained new enterprise customers with hundreds of thousands of employees. They implemented Teneros solutions to ensure continuous e-mail uptime, Kalia added.

“They have selected Teneros because our unique patented solutions guarantee Instant-On Exchange failover and failback -- maintenance free,” Kalia added. This feature of the Teneros service distinguishes the service from its competitors, according to Kalia.

In June, Teneros announced channel partner program for its Teneros Always On SaaS high availability and disaster recovery solutions. The Teneros services provide channel partners an opportunity to fulfill the strong demand for e-mail continuity in the marketplace, officials said.

Due to the growing e-mail data size and increasing integration with other IT systems, the complexity of messaging infrastructure has increased dramatically, thereby creating a strong market demand for Teneros products, officials said. Teneros growth throughout 2009 is an example of the demand for a cost-effective SaaS model in today's economy.

In August of 2009, Teneros expanded its messaging services to include offerings for Exchange archiving, eDiscovery and security solutions as a complete suite of Exchange messaging services.

“Businesses have cut down their capital expenditures and are looking to minimize IT costs,” said Ben Petro, president and CEO for Teneros, in a statement. “The Teneros SaaS-based disaster recovery services provide cost-effective business insurance and continuity without adding expensive equipment, software or headcount.”
