FormSpring Integrates with ExactTarget and Salesforce.com

FormSpring has announced the seamless integrations with two online business applications -- ExactTarget and Salesforce.com.

ExactTarget is a provider of on-demand email marketing software and one-to-one marketing solutions, while Salesforce.com (News - Alert) is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) CRM platform.

John Wechsler, president at FormSpring, said that the integrations align “perfectly” with company’s mission of providing organizations a smart way to collect and manage data online. “Both integrations allow users to easily collect data for use in two very popular applications that our customers are using in their businesses.”

The FormSpring integration enables organizations to create any kind of online form via FormSpring such as an opt-in list for an e-Newsletter or an event registration. Company officials said that the data collected via the forms will automatically be added to ExactTarget subscriber lists for future campaigns.

Moreover, users can select to add subscribers to one or more lists, add subscriber attributes, and also include the subscriber into proper email marketing campaigns, including those triggered by specific events.

Officals said that company’s integration with ExactTarget “simplifies” the integration of data collected with an online form to an ExactTarget database. The information is passed from FormSpring to ExactTarget, and this eliminates manual errors and also expense of software customization.

Michelle Coleman, director of marketing & online sales at Storage Solutions, said that
the integration with ExactTarget allows him to gather information from interested parties while they are submitting any form on my site. He added, “This integration also gives me the ability to quickly add a subscribe box on any page on my site without taking up a lot of space.”

Additionally, Salesforce.com users are expected to benefit from a secure way to add any contact information collected from a FormSpring form to their database, be it Web-to-lead, Web-to-case or any other customized application.

Mike Harmon, president at Harmonic (News - Alert) Consulting, said that this FormSpring integration gives him an “incredibly powerful way” to deploy online forms that submit data to the Salesforce application.

“If you use Web-to-Case or Web-to-Lead, this is Web-to-Whatever-Object-You-Please. Simply put, it is a tool that will save time and resources for any organization using Salesforce.com,” added Harmon.
