Animoto Provides Users with the Power of Digital Storytelling

Animoto Productions has released its Animoto app -- a web application that automatically generates professionally produced videos using the company’s patent-pending technology and high-end motion design.

With Animoto, users can arrange their own photos, text and music to produce their own video in widescreen format with the same visual energy of a music video and the emotional impact of a movie trailer.

Now Animoto has stated that it has incorporated video clips, users can add video clips captured from their Phone 3GS, Flip, and digital cameras into Animoto videos.
Animoto claims that it is empowering the next generation of digital storytelling, giving techies and novices alike the same ability to create professional-quality video on their own computers.

The new feature that Animoto has upgraded its app with makes use of a unique technology called ‘Cinematic Artificial Intelligence’ to analyze user uploaded videos and weave them together with their images to create Animoto videos that are eye-popping while synced to musical clips that have been central to the Animoto experience.

According to Animoto, with this new feature anyone with an internet connection can have the editing and post-production capabilities of a Hollywood director - in minutes, and with almost no effort or skills required.

Brad Jefferson, CEO and Co-founder of Animoto, said in a release that with simple devices like the Flip camera and iPhone (News - Alert) 3GS, people are now capturing more video footage than ever. But they don’t have the proper facility to edit those captures video footage to tell a story. Animoto solves that problem by making the video editing process as simple as the video capturing process. And sharing these creations, as always, is a single click of a button.

Animoto has partnered with Getty Images, a provider of digital media worldwide, and iStockphoto, the royalty-free stock multimedia company, to introduce even more production options, allowing users to incorporate cinematic and stock footage into their videos.

iStockphoto has stated that they are pleased to provide Animoto's users with an excellent and varied library of royalty-free HD stock video footage to help communicate their multimedia stories. In order to promote this new feature, Animoto says it has launched video contest. Each week, Animoto will pick its favorite user-generated video, give the user a Flip HD or a VholdR helmet cam, and enter them for a grand prize of a trip to New York City.

Animoto gave its iPhone and iPod touch users even more flexibility and freedom to create and view professional-quality music videos on the go and launched Animoto for Real Estate.
