HBR Labs Updates ShowDocument for Better Conferencing and Collaboration

As companies look for cost effective alternatives to business travel, service providers are gearing up their offerings. To cater to these demands, one company, HBR Labs, has introduced a new version of their Web meeting and online document sharing service, ShowDocument Now.

ShowDocument is a file sharing and online document review service that allows users to work together with any document including PDF, Word, Power Point, .jpg files.

Available free of charge to users, ShowDocument Now is a Software-as-a-Service or “SaaS (News - Alert)” application that allows real-time online interaction and communication for individuals and small-to-medium-sized organizations.

The new version also offers features such as dedicated 'meeting rooms', secure online document storage, and mobile device support.

According to Yuval Moed, CEO of HBR Labs, “This exciting release of ShowDocument Now provides groundbreaking advances in usability and functionality. We've delivered the easiest way for users to communicate on the web: a single click is all that's required to join real-time one-on-one fully synchronized web meetings and document sharing sessions… with no software download or installation.”

The new version also comes with enhancements such as simplified session scheduling, extended file format support, and improved session control. It also allows users to view online collaboration sessions on their Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone mobile devices.

Recently, Officescape (News - Alert) also released a new application that allows people anywhere to share presentations or desktop applications through the Web. With real-time, interactive, audio and video presentations in an online environment, businesses can securely and effectively communicate from remote locations at anytime.
