Digital Family Seeks Best Online Community Management Practices



Digital FamilyAccording to company officials, the organization is a social enterprise providing the connections and services to accelerate and evolve the international technology industry by providing resources, networking, news and information, education, events, job boards and other tools.


The Annenberg Program on Online Communities is a research enterprise and a one-year master's degree program at USC's Annenberg School for Communication. 

This March TMCnet
reported that SunGard Higher Education and iModules Software, Inc. announced an exclusive relationship to integrate iModules' Encompass online community application with SunGard Higher Education's Advance and Banner Advancement products.  

The combined product will provide a comprehensive system for engaging and managing advancement stakeholders, SunGard officials said.


, in conjunction with the University of Southern California's Annenberg Program on Online Communities and E-Poll Market Research, has launched a research study to uncover best practices for managing online communities.

The "Managing Online Communities" survey can be taken online and is open to professionals from across all industries with responsibility for any aspect of building, maintaining and marketing communities online.

E-Poll Market Research CEO Gerry Philpott and Karen Kovacs North, director of USC's Annenberg Program on Online Communities, will discuss the goals of the study later this month at a summit designed to bring together community builders and social media thought leaders from a wide cross-section of technology, media, marketing and business communities.
