Venda Reports 54 Percent Jump in Revenues in 2009

OnDemand e-commerce platform Venda has experienced a 54 percent increase in revenues, and a 37 percent decrease in operating expenses in the first half of 2009.

Jeffrey Max, CEO of Venda said during this period they were able to book 34 new client sites which is more than the new-client wins of their top three competitors combined. The recession economy has hit retail driving both retailers and manufacturers to re-evaluate their online channel and search for ways to increase return on investment.

Max noted that traditional e-commerce platforms tend to become dated and neglected, and need investment to keep up with contemporary technology and features. These firms can maximize their online reach and revenue by using the Software as a Service model.

Recent research from Gartner reveals that by 2011, 40 percent of online sellers will be using onDemand platforms, leveraging the flexible and affordable SaaS (News - Alert) model.

Venda's onDemand platform can meet the needs of merchants and customers and they are providing it at a predictable, low, fixed monthly fee.

Venda's onDemand solution is ideal for multi-tier retailers who can benefit from its flexibility, reliability and scalability. The solutions’ low total cost of ownership also reduces the risk, complexity and cost associated with e-commerce.

Venda onDemand is gaining popularity and the company recently launched a site for TJX Group, parent company of TJ Maxx & Marshalls retailers. Another launch for fashion site is also scheduled in near future. Max said that these enterprise-level merchants had used on-premise systems for years, but are now adopting Venda onDemand.

"The most gratifying part of this paradigm shift in the industry is that we're able to provide our merchant partners with a superior solution at a fraction of the cost of our competition. The money they save by not overpaying for technology, they're pouring into demand generation and revenue. It's a virtuous circle," said Max.
