BigMachines, a provider of on-demand configuration and proposal software, announced it is integrating its solution with
Promega‘s sales systems to enable accurate and rapid data flow from inquiry to order.
The combined solution will help Promega advance its customer response and the custom quote process, officials said.
Promega provides innovative solutions and technical support to the life sciences industry. The company’s individual products help scientists worldwide to advance their knowledge in life-science research, particularly in genomics, proteomics and cellular analysis.
These produces include kits and reagents as well as integrated solutions for life sciences research and drug discovery, resulting in complex pricing criteria.
BigMachines will offer its configuration, quoting and proposal software solution as an alternative to Promega’s existing software quoting tools.
These solutions will be integrated with Promega’s existing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and allow for future infrastructure improvements.
Initially, BigMachines will implement the multi-language and multi-currency capabilities of the solution. This includes currency calculations in US dollars, Euros and Canadian dollars. BigMachines will streamline workflow by automating quoting and reporting processes.
According to Alex Biggie, director of sales operations for Promega, BigMachines is the right choice because it offers the most flexibility and comprehensive capabilities.
“Streamlining the sales quoting process will enable our sales reps to easily manage and track complex orders,” he said.
“We are extremely pleased that Promega, a worldwide leader in the life sciences industry, has chosen BigMachines,” said Godard Abel, CEO and co-founder of BigMachines, in a statement. “We look forward to working closely with them to deploy a solution that enables their sales teams and dealers to get what their customers need faster.”
