Consona Plans to Unveil its Cloud-Based Deployment Option

Consona Corporation, a provider of customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning software and services, announced its plan to unveil a cloud-based deployment option early next year for its CRM customers.

Consona (News - Alert) CRM offers companies with vital and multi-faceted customer relationships, or companies offering complex or technical products and services, a wide range of fully-integrated CRM and knowledge management software applications that span customer service and support, sales and marketing.

The Consona CRM software product suite facilitates effective and efficient service interactions across proactive, assisted and self-help channels and communities. Consona CRM helps medium to large enterprises with customer service, technical support and/or IT helpdesk operations.

“The Consona team is counting down the days until the Consona Cloud is generally available,” Tom Millay, general manager of Consona’s CRM products, said. “We’re preparing the business for a full launch, including a variety of new pricing options, as well as ramping up a series of value-added services that will support our customer deployments.”

Richard Furby, vice president of sales and marketing for Consona’s CRM products, added “The most refreshing aspect of Web 3.0 technology is that it makes price less of a factor in the extremely important process of selecting a business system,” he said. “Now, we can get back to what really matters, like breadth of functionality and an application’s ability to align with unique business processes.”

Tim Hines, vice president of product management for Consona’s CRM products, agreed.

“We’re thrilled to offer our customers next generation SaaS (News - Alert), which has nearly all the advantages of both on-premise and first generation SaaS deployments, and none of their drawbacks,” he said.

Company officials said that Consona’s service-centric CRM applications are best matched with cloud-based deployments, built on what Gartner (News - Alert) refers to as a Server/OS virtualization platform, as opposed to a multi-tenant application/data platform.

“Our customers are using our applications to support extremely complex products and services, and they cannot afford to subject their most precious asset -- customer data -- to the security, reliability and scalability issues that accompany a first generation SaaS deployment,” said Hines. “It simply hasn’t been an option, even when stacked against the benefits of significantly reducing hardware and infrastructure related costs. The Consona Cloud eliminates these issues, while giving our customers flexibility to alternative deployment and pricing options, should their business conditions change.”
