DocuVantage Available Through Apps.Gov Portal

Document Advantage Corporation has announced it will now make use of the Apps.Gov portal to provide its online document management solutions.

Apps.Gov was recently launched by the government to provide a trusted source of SaaS (News - Alert) providers for government departments and agencies.

With the help of an efficient document management system, any document or file generated or received can be managed more efficiently while also securely protecting information. For companies, it also provides the ability to scan, revise, store and retrieve documents while sharing or distributing to others who need the information.

DocuVantage provides process management solutions to government agencies and the company has won contracts from the General Services Administration (GSA (News - Alert)), State of Florida, and Hillsborough County, Florida.

To increase operational efficiencies, optimize services and solutions across departmental boundaries, the Federal Cloud-Computing Initiative aims to utilize cloud-computing solutions for government agencies. It also aims to encourage transparent and participatory government with this initiative.

“With government agencies looking for ways to increase operational efficiencies, it makes perfect sense that there is an initiative to implement more subscription based solutions.” said DocuVantage president and CEO, Jana Wiggins. “We are happy to be part of such a technologically advanced initiative to get government communities on the same page, where they will have affordable options to organize, store and manage their information.”

DocuVantage OnDemand, DocuVantage's business productivity suite, provides features such as document capture and imaging, archiving, rules-based workflow, collaboration and records management compliance. According to the company, this offers benefits such as cost reduction, increased flexibility in business solutions and technologies, universal access, elastic scalability, easy implementation, and enhanced service quality.

Recently, the company also announced that its purchasing contract with the State of Florida was renewed. As part of this agreement DocuVantage's enterprise document and content management services may be purchased through the State of Florida's online exchange for buyers and vendors, MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP). This contract with the Florida Division of State Purchasing recognizes DocuVantage as an approved vendor within MFMP.
