Providing more insight to wide format printing operations, ONYX Graphics has reportedly announced the ONYX PrintMetryx Software-as-a-Service, or SaaS (News - Alert), platform of Web-based tools. With the release of this product, the wide format print shops can now better manage their printing costs, OYNX said.

 

ONYX said that its solutions reduce printing costs and increase productivity for its customers. The company combines color science, image processing and print production knowledge to offer solutions for the digital color printing marketplace. 

 

With ONYX PrintMetryx JobView service, print shop owners and production managers will get an insight into daily printing operations. Each print job is complete with a thumbnail image, detailed information about the print job, and costs for ink and media. ONYX PrintMetryx JobView also allows the shop owners to track production trends easily.

 

“With this new family of SaaS products, ONYX Graphics expands our portfolio to address the growing need of print providers to have on-demand access to information about their printing operations," said Jeb Hurley, CEO of ONYX Graphics, in a statement. "Companies are bringing printing in-house to decrease print turnaround time and reduce costs, making accurate reporting of productivity and printing costs especially important.”

 

With the ability to track production trends, shops can run more effectively as materials are available when needed. ONYX PrintMetryx In-House service offers proof of production and reports on printing costs. The service facilitates the creation of reports in minutes rather than hours, by arranging print tracking and reporting. Users can quickly find a job and view the details with the help of visual dashboards quickly display work and cost information.

 

In July, the company announced that its ONYX PrepEdge Pro software package was recently awarded the Gold Seal of Approval from GiveMeHelp, Inc.
