Global Capacity's GCPrice is Well Received

Global Capacity, a Chicago-based provider of telecommunications information and logistics solutions, reportedly announced that GCPrice, the latest addition to its Software-as-a-Service application portfolio, has received a good response.

A global source for automated tariff pricing information, GCPrice launched last week. The application provides accurate pricing and automated quotes, expediting the sales cycle. It also enhances profit by cutting down back-office cost per quote.

Within the first week of its launch, 15 companies from Belgium, Germany, Poland, Qatar, Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States have subscribed to GCPrice and others have given verbal intentions to commit, company officials said.

"In such a complex environment where there is little pricing visibility, the telecommunications market needs a source of global pricing information that is easy to use, accurate and cost effective," said Elisabeth Simao, vice president and director of knowledge management at Global Capacity, in a statement.

GCPrice has also captured the attention of the global media.

"Just nine days after the launch of GCPrice, we have garnered significant attention for this innovative model from prospective customers, analysts and media all over the world," said George King, vice chairman and president of global capacity.

"Global Capacity's reach with GCPrice is a demonstration of our global capabilities," Simao said. "Our multilingual team has developed relationships around the world which support our knowledge engine. GCPrice is a globally accepted application by telecommunication companies, regulators and enterprises."

GCPrice empowers customers to be more competitive in the market place and accelerates a cost effective quotation process.

Global Capacity specializes in a fully-integrated telecommunications supply chain management system that makes the process of designing, pricing, building, optimizing, and managing customized communications networks quicker and more efficient.

In other news, Global Capacity won new contracts worth $2.9 million.
