Wildflower Selects VPMi SaaS Project Management Software

Wildflower International, a provider of information technology to the United States government, has selected and successfully implemented the VPMi version 4.5 SaaS (News - Alert) project portfolio management software.

“We evaluated everything in the SaaS and enterprise project management software market before deciding on VPMi”, said Kimberly DeCastro CEO, Wildflower, in a statement.

DeCastro said that the VPMi stood out for its attractive pricing, ability to configure it exactly to the company’s process, but most importantly the personal support the company receives every day.

She said that now that the VPMi has become the project delivery system the company has really come to appreciate the new version’s ability to build project templates, edit an entire workplan, manage unique lifecycle, and collaborate with clients without requiring everyone be a certified project manager.

Nick Matteucci, co-founder, VCSonline, said that working with Wildflower was a match made in heaven.

“Wildflower’s processes were really the gold standard for U.S. Government contract management. The VPMi allowed them to take their process and web-enable it with our simple, flexible, and secure SaaS project management software,” said Matteucci.

He said that the combination has begun to fundamentally change the game for U.S. federal program management.

“In retrospect, there really was really no way we could fail,” Matteucci said.

“SaaS adoption is highest in applications that support simplified, common business processes or large, distributed virtual workforce teams,” said Sharon Mertz, research director at Gartner (News - Alert). “Ease of use, rapid deployment, limited upfront investment in capital and staffing, plus a reduction in software management responsibility all make SaaS a desirable alternative to many on-premises solutions, and they will continue to act as drivers of growth.”

Earlier this month VCSonline had announced the immediate availability of their project management software-as-a-service (SaaS) VPMi version 4.5.
VPMi 4.5 adds web-based Microsoft (News - Alert) Project integration, the ability to manage an entire plan in a spreadsheet view, and the ability to build reports and share them with other VPMi users -- or export them to Microsoft Word or Excel.
