ebrary Announces Availability of Title Preview SaaS



Palo Alto (News - Alert), Cali.-based provider of digital content products and technologies ebrary, Inc. reportedly announced the availability of its new software-as-a-service, or “SaaS (News - Alert),” feature, Title Preview, which allows publishers, aggregators, corporations, as well as others to effectively market their digital content and increase lead generation.

 
ebrary’s Title Preview is a marketing tool that facilitates organizations to quickly as well as cost-effectively create digital content products and distribute them directly to the markets of their choice. The SaaS provides marketing services that will assist with generating and tracking leads.
With ebrary’s latest SaaS, users can market content online. The system can have customized landing page that is created by ebrary’s designer. Users can also specify number of viewable pages.
 
Christopher Warnock, CEO of ebrary, in the release, said that Title Preview is a very flexible marketing tool, which ebrary has been using to successfully promote its own content products and services for several months,
 
“We believe that by extending this new lead generation tool to our SaaS customers, they will see an even greater return on their ebrary investment,” Warnock added.
 
Additionally, multiple searching options, both simple as well as advanced, have been provided. And, users can browse by topic.
 
In addition, users can have personal bookshelves, which will help them in storing titles of interest and email selections to peers. Even, usage reports and statistics are also provided apart from other ebrary interface features such as InfoTools.
 
InfoTools is a key feature of the ebrary’s QuickView and Readers. It provides a menu in the Unity and Plug-in Readers. This menu can be customized to link end-users to the online resources of their choice, thereby extending their value and increasing usage. InfoTools items can be activated by selecting words of interest.
 
Gary Gibson, president of Gibson Library Connections Inc., said that, since using Title Preview to showcase e-books that the company sells as part of our Canadian Electronic Library, it has seen a tremendous increase in both website traffic and leads.
 
“With Title Preview, prospects can easily search across our entire selection, access the first few pages, and use InfoTools to navigate to other relevant titles,” Gibson said. “This interactive and integrated approach provides a very compelling and innovative way to market content online.”
 
Apart from offering content services, like SaaS and licensed, for customers to cost-effectively distribute their own PDF content online, ebrary also provides a growing selection of over 170,000 digital books, handbooks, reports, maps, journals and other valuable content from more than 350 leading publishers under flexible subscription, purchase, and usage-based models.
 
All products and services can be integrated and delivered via a single easy-to-use interface that includes powerful tools for finding, discovering, and managing information, company officials said.
