MarineCFO, which provides on-vessel, marine operations, personnel, fleet maintenance and financial management software solutions to the marine transportation industry, announced the release of an on-demand solution for marine workboat companies.

 

The new solution, called MarineCFO Live! is a web-based software-as-a-service solution designed for small and medium sized marine workboat companies and marine divisions of enterprise organizations.

 

MarineCFO Live! allows companies to manage personnel, jobs, billing, maintenance and schedule without having to install servers and software. The service includes four modules.

 

The Operations Live! module, according to officials at MarineCFO, is a full-featured solution for managing and streamlining the operational aspects of a workboat company. It covers various operational aspects such as managing vessels, vessel certifications, customers, vendors, jobs, job profitability, invoicing, time and consumable logging, safety, incident and regulatory reporting and more.

 

The second module, called the Personnel Live! provides all tools necessary to track, schedule, and manage a maritime workforce. It is used for scheduling crew, managing time cards, certification tracking, licensing, drug testing, injury and incident management, regulatory reporting and more such functionalities.

 

Maintenance Live! is a dynamic module that allows workboat companies to design and manage custom maintenance solutions for their entire fleet. The solution includes features such as maintenance scheduling, outside service control, capacity planning to quality control, and more.

 

The fourth module, the Vessel Live!, according to company officials, is an on-vessel solution that provides the vessel the capabilities to capture and manage electronic logs, report on incidents and to manage ongoing maintenance orders.

 

MarineCFO Live! is aligned with the workboat company by offering a monthly subscription fee based on the size of the fleet, said officials at MarineCFO.

Earlier this year, MarineCFO had announced the release of Enterprise Version 2.0. of its fleet management software with integrated Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database engine.
