A leading Asia Pacific based multi-service operator has selected global provider of communication software products, solutions and services Redknee's (News - Alert) InBill solution to manage its interconnect billing functions. 


Redknee officials said InBill 6.0 will enable the service provider to maximize the value of its fixed line network by effectively and efficiently managing multi-party wholesale billing settlements, helping to avoid issues related to revenue leakage.

Additionally,  Redknee's InBill 6.0 also provides network operators with enhanced performance and a seamless workflow, optimizing time and resources and enabling the operator to focus on their core asset, their subscribers.

The high-growth markets are an important part of Redknee's growth strategy, and the company has been consistently gaining market share in these regions, especially with Turnkey Converged Billing solution, Skoczkowski added.

In October, Redknee was selected by Smart Telecom of Nepal for its converged billing and customer care software solutions, and for its expertise in supporting high-growth network operators.

Smart Telecom is rolling out both wireless and satellite services as it enters one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world. 

Nepal's teledensity rate was only 6 percent in 2006 and has grown to 23 percent today; however, more than 80 percent of the population lives in rural and difficult geographic terrain, with no or limited access to telecommunications services.

Redknee officials said that the company’s turnkey converged billing solution will provide Smart Telecom with the ability to launch voice, messaging and data services to its prepaid and postpaid customers over both GSM and satellite networks.
