Global Capacity Announces Robust Results for SaaS Business in 2009

Chicago-based provider of telecommunications information and logistics solutions Global Capacity has announced strong results for its "Software as a Service" (SaaS (News - Alert)) line of business.

The company also announced that its newly released application GCPrice has earned good revenues. A global source for automated tariff pricing information, GCPrice was launched in October. The application provides accurate pricing and automated quotes, expediting the sales cycle. It also enhances profit by cutting down back-office cost per quote. With a week of its launch, TMCnet had reported that GCPrice was subscribed by 15 companies from Belgium, Germany, Poland, Qatar, Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States.

In a release, Global Capacity claims sales of its SaaS products grew worldwide with a 16.9 percent annual growth rate. This growth was propelled by 18 new and upgraded clients, which include integrators and global telecommunication providers. Existing clients also went for renewals.
Ted Kunkel, general manager for the Software Group, said Global Capacity is well positioned for 2010.

"We are pleased with the traction our Software as a Service line of business is receiving in the marketplace,” added Nigel Meacham, managing director of information systems at Global Capacity. “Demand stems from all reaches of the world and inquiries have come from six continents. The customer needs range from fast turnaround to supporting quotation requests to optimization analysis."

"Even in the face of global economic challenges, Software as a Service customer opportunities continue to expand," added Kunkel. "The need for global telecom pricing systems and custom software that empowers expense control and streamlined operations is a compelling requirement."

Global Capacity specializes in a fully-integrated telecommunications supply chain management system that makes the process of designing, pricing, building, optimizing, and managing customized communications networks quicker and more efficient.
