KSS Intros RackPrice SaaS for Fuel Wholesalers



KSS has introduced a hosted version of the company’s fuel price management software for fuel wholesalers.
 
Dubbed RackPrice SaaS (News - Alert), the new system provides fuel suppliers the option to benefit from a comprehensive, automated fuel price management capability through a software-as-a-service, or “SaaS,” model. Company officials said that here the application – and also accompanying customer database and information – resides and is managed by KSS on its servers.

 
“By deploying RackPrice SaaS, fuel wholesalers are receiving the same functionality and benefits of the site-licensed version of RackPrice, but without spending additional capital to install, host and maintain the system themselves,” Bob Stein, president and CEO at KSS, said.
 
With RackPrice SaaS, wholesalers can save on upfront equipment investments to host the software themselves. And, it also cuts ongoing costs for IT personnel to maintain the system.
 
Thanks to hosted model, the deployment time is also reduced, enabling wholesalers to quickly roll out the solution for a faster impact on their operations, said company officials. Also, the system includes integration with OPIS, Platts and DTN data sources for added efficiency and convenience.
 
Company officials said that wholesalers subscribe to the software on a module-by-module basis. The wholesalers pay a monthly fee based on the number of users that access the software during any given month.
 
Moreover, KSS also offers additional value via its software maintenance and support and model maintenance and support services, which are included in the subscription to ensure users can fine-tune the system.
 
RackPrice is an end-to-end wholesale pricing solution, featuring modules for price generation automation, reporting/analysis, competitive price prediction, price-volume modelling and price optimization.
 
In December, KSS introduced its vision of a more integrated fuels pricing operation termed “Fuel Pricing Command & Control.” In addition, the company also announced a Preferred Integration Partner program with three electronic price sign companies.
