McLaren Health Care Selects Ultimate Software's UltiPro SaaS

McLaren Health Care Corporation, an integrated healthcare networks in the nation with approximately 13,000 employees in more than 135 locations, has reportedly selected Ultimate Software’s UltiPro – including its HR, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and learning management functionality – delivered through a software-as-a-service, or “SaaS (News - Alert),” system in September 2009.

Ultimate Software officials said that McLaren’s senior management in addition to selecting UltiPro for comprehensive, centralized human capital management, or “HCM,” through convenient Web-based SaaS, selected UltiPro to increase access to information, improve reporting, boost efficiencies and leverage the business intelligence tools that UltiPro offers to provide strategic analytics for forecasting and trend monitoring.

“Our goal is to provide excellence in health services, and to achieve that objective, we need to manage employee-centric functions as efficiently and effectively as possible,” Michael McMullen, corporate HRIS manager for McLaren Health Care, said in a statement.

“Our rapid growth has created an extensive healthcare network, and we are excited to now have the tools to unify and enhance all of our human capital-related processes,” McMullen added.

Greg Swick, chief sales officer, Ultimate Software said that UltiPro delivers healthcare organizations sophisticated end-to-end HCM features that can transform and consolidate the complicated workforce management processes typical of that industry.

“We look forward to seeing McLaren experience the substantial business benefits that our roster of other hospitals and healthcare customers enjoy using UltiPro,” Swick said.

Back in December Ultimate Software, a provider of end-to-end strategic human resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, had announced that Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes, Inc., a convenience store chain with more than 80 locations, has transformed its performance management processes with Ultimate Software’s UltiPro delivered through SaaS.

Before switching to UltiPro, Nice N Easy Grocery was using a service bureau that delivered only basic payroll services and locked the retailer into tight deadlines, extra fees, and inadequate reporting capabilities. In 1995, the company selected UltiPro and unified its HR and payroll processes for improved efficiencies, reduced costs, and time savings.
