NCCW Selects Cordys Business Operations Platform

The uses and benefits of cloud computing platform are far reaching. Recently, NCCW, a company in the housing corporations sector, realized this as it signed a strategic contract with Cordys to jointly build a cloud computing platform housing corporations. Cordys is a supplier of software for business process innovation.

With a single platform provided by Cordys, companies can design, execute, monitor, change and continuously optimize their critical business processes and operations. The Cordys Business Operations Platform includes next generation BPM and Enterprise Cloud Orchestration.

Offering a combination of BPMS (Business Process Management Software) and Cloud technology, the Cordys Business Operations Platform enables companies to respond faster to changes in the market or in legislation. Companies also get enhanced flexibility and lower costs with the application of BPMS combined with cloud based computing.

In a release, Jan Baan, CEO of Cordys, said “NCCW has more than proved itself as the process computerization firm for housing corporations. With the decision in favor of the Cordys Business Operations Platform, NCCW will bring about a revolution in the field of automation in this sector. From now on, the focus will no longer be on applications but genuinely on the client’s processes.”

Centered on the housing corporations business processes, Business Process Modeling lies at the core of a new property platform. For each process, the platform itself is searched for relevant and pertinent information. Companies can integrate the rapidly growing number of web services offered via the cloud with the help of platform’s open characteristics. The first clients are expected to start working with the first components of the new estate platform in 2010.

Recently, a report from Ovum stated that Cordys is the best fit in an emerging category of business process management, or “BPM,” platforms. Ovum’s report “SaaS (News - Alert) BPM - Silencing the Skeptics” states that a distinct category of BPM platforms is emerging and prominent among these are vendors who are capable of offering a comprehensive development and execution environment in the SaaS mode.
