Sprint Reveals Hiring Plan for OKC Call Center

For the Oklahama’s struggling job market, Sprint (News - Alert) came as the harbinger of good news –the wireless communication giant is planning to hire as many as 250 employees for the Oklahoma City Call Center. The region currently has 6.2 percent unemployment rate. The announcement is believed to boost up the region’s job growth and economic recovery.

For interested candidates, Sprint is going to hold an exclusive, invitation-only open house at the call center (8525 Silver Crossing in Oklahoma City ) on Wednesday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The interested candidates are invited to visit www.sprint.com/callcenterjobs to collect the invitation. The profiles will be scrutinized by Sprint’s recruiting team and qualified candidates will receive special invitations, Sprint informed through a press release.

The positions offer all the standard benefits such as medical, dental, 401(k), monthly performance bonuses, and participation in Sprint's employee wireless phone program. Competitive salaries are also promised. The candidates will come to learn more about the position as they meet the Sprint representatives on the interview site.

In a statement, Craig Sherry, the center director for the OKC Call Center said that the company is looking for the candidates who share the same commitment as Sprint to deliver the best services to the customers.

“These positions are a great opportunity for people looking to get back into the workforce and who also have a strong desire and passion to provide great service and technical support to wireless customers. Sprint has been receiving a lot of independent, third-party recognition recently for customer satisfaction. One of those accolades came from a prominent organization, which noted that Sprint was among 40 companies delivering customer service excellence,” Sherry commented.

In a separate press release, Sprint announced the Sprint Relay ID pack, which, according to the company, allows anyone who has difficulty hearing on their phone and members of the deaf community who use sign language to receive a customized bundle of applications, links, tips, icons, widgets and wallpapers on their Sprint ID-capable Android (News - Alert) device.
