Panasonic (News - Alert), a provider of business telephone systems, announced the addition of a new line of corded Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) telephones to its current series of cordless SIP models in the U.S. market.

The new UT series SIP telephones are designed for small and mid-size businesses. The SIP phones provide a stable connection between IP communication-based devices and applications that integrates with e-mail, Web, voice mail, instant messaging, multiparty conferencing and multimedia collaboration.

The High Definition audio (G.722 codec) offers true wideband voice quality on all models of UT phones. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) is given in all models. Electric Hook Switch (EHS) is provided for Plantronics (News - Alert) headsets.
