Specializing in digital postal mail services, Zumbox has announced the formation of the Zumbox Advisory Board.
In a release John Payne, CEO of Zumbox, said, “The advisory board represents key market knowledge and invaluable insight that helps guide our strategic path, ensuring that commercial participants can easily capitalize on the immense cost-saving and sustainability benefits digital postal mail offers while making sure the product is attractive and useful for consumers.”
This board is expected to enable the mailing industry to provide strategic direction and also gain insights for what the future holds for digital postal mail. The board is comprised of visionaries from output service and technology providers who will be able to provide business, technical and market guidance.
They will also be instrumental in the development of digital postal mail as the next-generation of customer communications. The advisory board was constituted to showcase the emergence of digital postal mail as a critical communication path for businesses which also offers several benefits for consumers in managing household mail.
The Zumbox Advisory Board members include: Ernie Crawford, president of Crawford Technologies; Frank Delfer, executive vice president, technology and CTO of DST Output (News - Alert); Kathy Hamburger, executive vice chairman at 3i Infotech Billing and Payments ; Bernie O’Connor, president, Computershare Communication Services and Enrico Parodi, vice president, software and professional services at Ricoh (News - Alert) Production Print Solutions.
Payne selected the board members based on the recommendations of key industry players and influencers. All the board members will have direct access to the company’s key executives and other board members. They will help in the development, evolution and success of the digital postal mail industry, stated company sources.
“Collectively, the members of the Zumbox Advisory Board process, or provide technology to process, more than seven billion pieces of mail annually, reaching virtually every household in the country. Their experience will help guide us during this exciting time of accelerating growth for the company and the digital postal mail industry. We are pleased to have their participation and look forward to our next formal meeting in November 2011,” Payne added.
The digital mailbox created by Zumbox covers every street address in the U.S. and connects large transactional, financial and government mailers to consumer households to enable the secure and timely delivery of postal mail online.
The online mail is brought to consumers by Zumbox via a secure, central online environment, instead of on paper. The mail is archived forever, for free thereby offering consumers flexibility in the way they can receive, manage and store their postal mail, explained officials.
Recently, Zumbox announced an agreement with Computershare Communications Services, Inc., an affiliate of Computershare Limited, a financial services provider for the global securities industry. This agreement will allow companies to digitally deliver all stakeholder communications via Zumbox.
