At the DEMO Conference recently, Vizibility, provider of an online identity management platform for individuals and professional services firms, announced that a preview of its Mobile Identity Toolkit is available which, the company believes, will be a strong addition to its current online identity management platform. The Mobile Identity Toolkit is being incorporated into popular social networking sites, and career specific hubs, as well as reputation management services functioning virtually.
What this unprecedented mobile web app will achieve is an integration of personal quick response codes (QR) into networking sites LinkedIn and Facebook (News - Alert). Pending a patent, this "social network connection pre-authorization," will allow consumers embed their social graphs along with their personal Vizibility QR codes. These can then be put onto business cards or resumes or even marketing materials. They of course can be scanned into a mobile as well. With Vizibility's CommonConnections, social networks can now turn into real-time, reputation-enhancing tools that function in real time.
Besides CommonConnections, another simple-to-use management tool will be present that will allow companies of all sizes organize and share the online presence of their professionals. A number of accounts can be administered simultaneously from a single figure. As a management tool it will help in configuring as well as downloading QR codes, updating them and branding mobile business cards. One can also monitor how they are being used.
According to a research by Mashable, a leading social news based blog, around 14 million people in the U.S. scanned QR codes in June.
In a release, James Alexander, Vizibility founder and Chief Executive Officer, said, “A growing number of professionals recognize the need to proactively control, organize and share their online identities and want to do so using savvy technologies like QR codes. Marketers need an easy way to manage the online brands of their professionals while ensuring a consistently branded mobile and PC experience. Now, for the first time, our identity management platform gives professionals and marketers the tools they need to excel."
