Cassidian Communications, an EADS (News - Alert) North America company, has announced that its contract for hosted emergency notification services with the Mendocino County, Calif., Sheriff’s Office has been renewed. Under the terms of the renewed contract, county officials will be provided with continued remote access to the hosted The Communicator! NXT and GeoCast Web solutions. The hosted service from Cassidian has been designed to establish fast multi-modal communication with emergency service providers, the local community and others working within the public safety domain.

Our decision to continue our contract ultimately will benefit the many residents and visitors of Mendocino County, now and into the future.”

The 88,000 strong population in Mendocino County is provided with efficient and timely law enforcement services by the Sheriff’s Office. By leveraging The Communicator! NXT and GeoCast Web solutions, the Sheriff’s Office not only keeps the community informed of any situation or event impacting public safety, but keeps people updated on missing person situations or any other such incidents.
