EasyLink Gets Selected by XO Communications for Cloud-Based EDI VAN Services

EasyLink Services (News - Alert) International Corporation is one of the leading global providers of cloud-based messaging services and e-commerce solutions. The company recently announced that XO Communications (News - Alert) has entered into a multi-year agreement to leverage its EasyLink's EDI Value Added Network. XO Communications is one of the nation's largest communication services providers.

XO Communications chose EasyLink's hosted EDI VAN services in order to expand its trading capabilities while at the same time reducing the expense of building and supporting an internal EDI infrastructure. EasyLink's EDI Service will now completely manage the exchange of all supply chain communications such as all mapping and in-line translation. This will allow XO Communications to do business with any trading partners that require 811 X.12 invoice translations.

In a release, Steve Strandberg, Director, Financial Systems, XO Communications, said, "We needed an EDI solution for invoicing, and the high cost of designing and supporting an internal system was never an option. We outsourced our supply chain communications to EasyLink, because they are experts in turnkey EDI services, from data security, to translations, to reporting and notifications. We have improved our invoicing efficiency, built better relationships within our supply chain, and forged successful new partnerships."

EasyLink will now provide XO Communications with a wide range of EDI services, starting from translation of inbound and outbound data to reporting and proactive notifications. Kevin Maloney, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at EasyLink said that "We are pleased to have XO Communications as a customer. EasyLink's cloud-based EDI VAN and Managed Services enable our customers to focus on running their core business, while streamlining their ability to trade securely and rapidly worldwide."
