According to a recent press release made public on Feb. 1, 2012, PlanSource Holdings, Inc., which is a cloud-based human resource (HR) Software as a Service (SaaS (News
- Alert)) technology company provider, has announced that it has received a $12 million investment by Lemhi Ventures, Inc., a business enterprise capital firm that invests exclusively in health care services: its objective is to transform companies through disciplined investment decisions, to leverage its technology leadership position and expand its growth in healthcare technology, employee benefits administration, and services.
Dayne Williams, CEO of PlanSource, said the investment would better business decisions, processes, as well as support to customers. It would also improve and change health care services for healthcare companies, brokers and HR admin personnel, down to the overall employee experience. Simply, it is the needed step towards a more efficient and sustainable U.S. healthcare system. A solution that will use integrated services and human resources management software (HRMS) technology to help meet business goals.
Randy Schmidt, the Venture Partner at Lemhi Ventures, says the investment is sure to be an opportunity for PlanSource to improve the user experience across the entire healthcare distribution spectrum. Moreover, it should help make PlanSource’s growth a reality.
As pointed out by Dayne Williams, the $12 million in new funding is not only for strategic growth for PlaceSource Holdings but it is an opportunity to provide the company the experience it needs in healthcare technology to improve its relationships with national healthcare companies and the HR businesses they serve. Also, it should transform health care services, provide carriers or brokers better data, and grow great companies through disciplined investment decisions. Lastly, it should have a positive effect on employers and individuals to make better-informed decisions when buying benefits, regardless of whether it is through a traditional marketplace or a healthcare exchange.
