Digital China Selected as Strategic Distribution Partner for Acme Packet

Acme Packet (News - Alert) recently announced that Digital China will now serve as an important distribution channel and services partner for Acme Packet in China. Digital China, the largest integrated IT services provider in China, will be able to offer its customers safe, high-quality interactive communications services over IP. There are various solutions such as cloud solutions, basic voice over IP (VoIP) and unified communications, and collaboration.

In a press release, Yu Zijian, Systems Technology Service SBU, vice president, Digital China said "We share Acme Packet's vision of using first-class session border controllers (SBC) to enable full IP communications. By including Acme Packet in our product portfolio, we will be able to provide local resellers, system integrators, and service provider resellers with a secure, reliable network infrastructure for interactive multimedia communications."

Chinese companies are expanding and growing at a rapid space as they continue to implement new gadgets and technologies like smartphones, high-speed broadband, enterprise-class VoIP, unified communications and cloud solutions. Some of the challenges faced while implementing these technologies include the lack of secure, reliable, and interoperable network infrastructures, which are vital to providing secure IP-based communication.

"We are excited to announce Digital China as our key distributer and services partner for China. Our session delivery network solutions combine industry-leading capabilities with support for Microsoft, Avaya (News - Alert), Huawei, and other unified communications (UC) offerings. We believe this will complement Digital China's vision of building next-generation IP communication networks for their customers and boost distribution in the region,” said Mark Vella, Vice President of Business Development at Acme Packet.

By distributing Acme Packet's session delivery network, Digital China will now provide its customers with integrated cloud solutions, presence-enabled voice, interactive video, instant messaging, and collaboration into their UC deployments.
