Alteva Provides AbelCine with Cloud-Based UC

AbelCine offers products and expertise to professionals in film production, broadcast and so on. With three locations across the United States, it needed a way to keep connected and collaborate efficiently.

For that, it turned to Alteva (News - Alert), which provided it with a fully hosted solution.

Alteva’s Hosted Solution connects the various AbelCine offices, providing internal extension-to-extension dialing and call transfer, while integrating Salesforce.com (News - Alert) to the system. The staff can also switch calls between desktop handsets and cell phones, while keeping the call uninterrupted.

As a result, AbelCine no longer needs its T-1 based MPLS network, instead saving network costs and increasing bandwidth by moving to Ethernet fiber.

Not only that, but Alteva helped AbelCine move their data to the cloud, and helped with end-user training and scheduling turn-ups.

"We wanted bandwidth and consolidation, and Alteva was a good choice because of its redundant network built on the BroadSoft (News - Alert) platform,” said Nathaniel Bonini, director of Services and Information Technology at AbelCine. “The key factor in choosing Alteva is that they provide solid support. There is always someone on the other end of the phone when we need them. This move was the first series of steps to make a great communications system available to the whole company, mobilize our field force, and provide modern telephony services to the staff.”

“Our goal is to give our clients the best customer support available – and mobility is a factor,” he added. “The ability to manage voicemail via email is a big contributor to the efficiency of the entire company."

AbelCine made the right choice in turning to Alteva, although no one needs to tell them that. The company’s network was in need of an upgrade, and thanks to Alteva’s Hosted Solution, it got just what it needed. Its three offices are more connected than ever, allowing its employees to work at a better pace than ever before.
