Alcateia to Distribute EVault Cloud-Connected Services in Brazil

December 04, 2012

EVault has partnered with the Alcateia Group, an IT solutions provider in Brazil, to strengthen its market position in the country. EVault specializes in onsite, cloud and cloud-connected data protection solutions.

Alcateia will distribute a full range of EVault cloud-connected services, including EVault SaaS (News - Alert), EVault endpoint protection and EVault cloud disaster recovery services that protect distributed environments of organizations – supported by a secure, reliable cloud storage infrastructure and customer service.

Ricardo Marques, product manager at Alcateia, said, “Customers’ needs are changing, and they are increasingly demanding more dynamic, secure and reliable cloud-based backup and recovery solutions.”

“With EVault’s impressive portfolio, we’re now able to deliver to our Brazilian resellers the best onsite, cloud and cloud-connected services available in the market. This gives both our resellers and their customers fail proof and scalable options to fit any business model,” Marques added.

EVault offers hybrid storage models featuring an integrated ecosystem of EVault storage software, SaaS, managed services and appliances that ensure business continuity for mid-market and enterprise-level businesses. The company’s solutions are most suitable for multi-site, multi-platform environments and are useful in protecting operations in remote and /branch office locations as well.

Brazil serves as a lucrative market for cloud IT solutions providers and distributors. With a population of nearly 200 million people and a rapidly growing economy, Brazil ranks among other emerging economies like India, Indonesia, greater China, Eurasia, Argentina and Mexico considering regional growth rates in public cloud services, according to Gartner (News - Alert).

“As we continue to expand our services to new markets around the world, Brazil was a natural next step. It has a vibrant, growing economy with potential for massive cloud adoption. Brazil's rapidly expanding private sector has produced a heightened need for robust backup and recovery solutions,” said William da Cunha, vice president of Sales, Americas, EVault.

Alcateia is a strong contender in the IT distribution market in Brazil, and the partnership with EVault expands its cloud-connected services delivery to the Brazilian reseller community, while helping companies to secure their business-critical data.

EVault and Cequel Data Centers also recently entered into a partnership, under which Cequel will promote and sell EVault’s cloud-connected backup and recovery services at its locations across the United States to provide data protection solutions.
