FailSafeSolutions' RaaS Platform based on VirtualSharp's ReliableDR

January 30, 2013

VirtualSharp Software has announced that NSIS Systems’ outsourcing/hosting business FailSafeSolutions has based its recovery as a service (RaaS) platform on its ReliableDR.

Stephan Buys, managing director at NSIS Systems, said that the new partnership with VirtualSharp Software has provided NSIS Systems the ability to provide cost effective disaster recovery for the VMware Virtual Platform

To virtualized and cloud environments, VirtualSharp's ReliableDR delivers recovery assurance via interactive, multi-datacenter orchestration with fully automated recovery runbooks. It also eliminates the need to invest in a secondary data center.

NSIS Systems' FailSafeSolutions believes that VirtualSharp's ReliableDR will enable it to now offer companies a safe infrastructure within their data centers. Companies can now also expect a fully automated Disaster Recovery process, from the infrastructure components to the application stack.

VirtualSharp's ReliableDR is a “great product” which provides the end user with an easy-to-use interface to manage their disaster recovery setup, Buys said, adding that the continuous and automated testing of the recovery virtual machines ensures that the end users always have functional recovery points to fail over to.

In addition to predicting recovery time at the application level, ReliableDR also enforces recovery point objectives. Also, a Web portal allows customers to check the Disaster Recovery readiness status of their applications.

VirtualSharp, an elite-level VMware Technology Alliance Partner, develops next generation disaster recovery software for private and public clouds that continuously and automatically certify the recoverability of services running in the cloud.

“We developed our CSP (News - Alert) solution with the needs of service providers in mind to improve the reliability and simplify the processes of RaaS. Service level agreements, simplified deployment, reporting and end user visibility are all embedded in our unique solution,” said Michael Hillewaert, vice president of International Sales at VirtualSharp Software.

Last year in May, Van Lanschot Bank Belgium selected ReliableDR to enhance the recovery time of its IT services, supporting all business applications and seven terabytes of confidential customer and business data.
