CBCC Enhances Operations with IDS Cloud Technology

September 03, 2013

Comprehensive Breast Care Centers (CBCC) will be opening a third location this month in South Florida. The center, which is an affiliate of the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) and Digital Medical Imaging (DMI), has been using advanced breast diagnostic imaging technology, but in a bid to further enhance its operations, CBCC adopted AbbaDox Rad, an IDS cloud technology platform for radiology.

Designed with end-to-end workflow solutions that serve to optimize operations, the IDS cloud technology platform will help in improving operations at all CBCC facilities. IDS is a provider of cloud healthcare information technology services and radiology software and solutions.

In a statement, CEO Joseph Oksemberg, said, “Their fully integrated RIS-PACS platform and cloud technology makes it easy for us to remain agile and adapt to market conditions. In a client-server environment, we could not have been able to expand with such ease and in such a short timeframe. This represents a true advantage in a competitive market.”

The AbbaDox RAD cloud technology platform from IDS will provide CDI with advanced 3D PACS in the cloud in addition to electronic patient chart. Further advantages to CDI include a centralized patient and resource scheduling capability, fast patient check-ins, instant verification of patient’s insurance eligibility, easy reporting of diagnostic findings with speech recognition or transcription, easy tracking of mammogram results with BIRAD reporting and generate lay letters, easier checking of a patients roster and daily billing and Grant DICOM image and report access to the consulting doctor over a Web portal.

IDS CEO Yaniv Dagan said, “Given the changing landscape of healthcare, administrators must keep tabs on the business metrics and closely align operations with business goals. Our technology provides the operational time-saving applications and business analytics to endure trends such as lower reimbursement costs.”

The South Miami CBCC center, which is lead by Eric Godreau, M.D., and Leslie Frost, M.D., provides patients with medical services which include mammography and ultrasound, tomosynthesis (3-D mammography), breast tissue ultrasound, bone density scans and stereotactic-guided biopsies.
