Callidus Debuts IGoogle Gadget for Sales Performance Management

Callidus Software Inc. a company that specializes in sales performance management, reportedly announced the release of iGoogle gadget for sales performance management.
When added to the iGoogle homepage, it automatically updates and provides a constant stream of real-time SPM information. The gadget will display tabs for topical industry news, YouTube (News - Alert) videos and blog entries from LeapComp.com by Julien Dionne.
The effective monitoring and tracking of sales performance data is required for attaining financial targets. Better visibility into sales performance enhances decision-making and enables businesses to take rapid and correct action. Improving sales performance is difficult because getting reliable market-knowledge is a laborious process. iGoogle for SPM is expected to solve such problems.
Company sources said that users can keep track of SPM news through the gadget on their personalized iGoogle homepage on LeapComp.com or on the Callidus software Web site.
IGoogle is a service from Google, which allows users to create a personalized homepage consisting of a Google (News - Alert) Search box at the top and their choice of widgets and gadgets below. Widgets appear in many different forms and provide access to activities and information on the Web without leaving the iGoogle page.
“The sales performance management iGoogle gadget is an effective way for users to stay up-to-date on the latest sales related news,” said Lorna Heynike, senior vice president of marketing, at Callidus Software (News - Alert), in a statement. “Professionals can easily access the gadget straight from their iGoogle homepage. The SPM gadget acts as a one-stop-shop to get current articles, videos and industry insight.”
The SPM gadget is effective in reducing search time for SPM news and it offers the news in an easily accessible tool within the iGoogle homepage. IGoogle gadgets provide activities and information across the Web and can be placed anywhere on the iGoogle homepage. Personalized homepages can be created with iGoogle by the addition of a variety of gadgets according to Callidus sources.]
