FastSoft Debuts E Series Version 2.0

FastSoft, Inc., has reportedly unveiled the latest E Series version 2.0., powering its Internet accelerator network appliances.

E Series Internet accelerators allows companies that create, sell and deliver content to centralize and speed Web-based distribution of video and other digital assets. Requiring no regional caching and no equipment where download requests originate, FastSoft's patented FastTCP technology enables global enterprises and CDNs to accelerate content downloads to customers, employees, the media and other audiences anywhere in the world.

Latest Version 2.0 provides real-time acceleration reporting and analysis to quantify the enhancement to increase end-user’s quality of experience. Additionally, the new version supports 10,000 TCP flows and comes equipped with a passive bypass unit to eliminate single points of failure.

Officials at Fastsoft said that, E Series product line was built with an intention to improve the business models of content providers, Hollywood post-production houses, subscription data service providers, and SaaS (News - Alert) service providers – by making secure, high-quality Internet distribution simple and affordable.

This latest version released also includes acceleration of small web objects to complement the E Series’ rich media acceleration capabilities, and performance reporting and analysis.

“For companies that choose to build their own web delivery infrastructure, the E Series now accelerates 20KB web objects in addition to multi-gigabyte multimedia files, and any file sizes in between,” said VP Product Management, Diego Dugatkin. “This means faster website downloads and snappier web applications, even to far-away regions with spotty Internet connections.”

The company ensures that Content delivery service providers can instantly expand their global reach without investing in regional network buildouts using E Series. Its unique mix of speed and simplicity lets global enterprises such as healthcare and technology providers to migrate manual distribution of software updates and large image files to the Web, says the company.

“The E Series now measures the speed boost for all TCP sessions and provides a set of real-time graphs that report the improvement by round trip time (RTT). Our customers can use these tools to determine how much faster their web pages or Internet videos download around the globe,” added Dr. Dugatkin, “and to understand the geographical distribution of their end-users based on RTT.”
