SIPtalk Launches Cost-Effective Internet Phone Service

Software as a Service, or SaaS, continues to gain traction as enterprises and consumers alike, wary of the high cost of purchasing and deploying expensive, premises-based solutions, are increasingly considering a hosted model, where the service is provided from a trusted provider.

XCast Labs is a SaaS (News - Alert) provider that has developed a suite of solutions that enable carriers and resellers to offer integrated IP-based services to their customers. XCast offers a proprietary Digital Voice and Video (DV&V) platform to deliver Class 5 switching with MIR (Most Intelligent Routing), Video Telephony, IP-PBX (News - Alert) services, SIP Trunking and other advanced IP applications.

Today, the company is announcing SIPTalk, its consumer targeted Internet Phone Service brand. The service is based on XCast Labs’ version 3.0 of its Digital Voice & Video (DV&V) platform.

XCast Labs CEO, Cliff Rees believes the prospect of offering a cost-effective, fully featured service alternative is just what the doctor ordered for consumers and business users who are closely watching their budgets in the wake of the economic downturn.

“With the global economy struggling to bounce back, offering our quality, highly functional service for as low as $9.95 per month enables families and friends to stay in touch for less,” Rees said. “In addition, our low-cost IP-PBX and SIP Trunking services allow businesses to expand their communications while reducing cost.”

Rees added that the company is able to keep costs low because they developed and own all the core aspects of our technology.

SIPTalk (News - Alert) is available as a multi-tiered service offering.
