Codeproof Announces Software Update to its SaaS Offerings

February 05, 2013

In an effort to simplify application deployment to multiple devices, Redmond, Washington-based mobile security provider, Codeproof Technologies Inc, released an updated version of its mobile security and mobile device management (MDM) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) offerings.

According to Mobile Security Infographics, based on Codeproof’s scan data, 11.19 percent of mobile devices are jailbroken and 53.54 percent of all iPhones don't have a screen lock passcode.

With the help of this software update, Codeproof is now able to enhance iPhone (News - Alert), iPad and Android devices’ security and manageability by providing anytime, anywhere protection through cloud-hosted SaaS MDM solution – which is not only easy to implement, but reduces cost and maximizes scalability for businesses.

As a company offering first ever cloud-based SaaS security for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, Codeproof to date has acquired over 25,000 registered users all over the world.

It is largely facilitating SMB customers and schools to manage their iPads, iPhones and various Android (News - Alert) devices.

Satish Shetty, founder and CEO at Codeproof, said in a statement, "When it comes to mobile device security, small and medium-sized businesses are lost. Most of them simply ignore mobile security protection basics because they lack in-house expertise, and many feel they don't have the required resources to protect their mobile computing assets.”

Codeproof delivers a highly secure, cloud-based, managed mobile security and MDM platform, so that businesses can quickly bolster their security and BYOD requirements.

Currently, Codeproof supports all Android phones/tablets, as well as iPhone/iPads, and even Kindle Fire. It’s now true SaaS, which is built on Amazon Elastic Cloud Stack.

The company’s patent-pending technology secures personal and corporate data in mobile phone and tablets by offering: lost device detection; password restrictions; app restrictions; directory-based policy management; remote configuration of e-mail, Wi-Fi, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN); device telemetry and asset management; multi-tenant architecture; role-based admin management; anytime, anywhere access via cloud console; and more.

In addition, the Codeproof’s MDM SaaS offerings also deliver mobile antivirus protection for Android, privacy enhancement and mobile parental controls, App Distribution & Mobile App Management (MAM), and platform extensibility through Developer APIs.

Codeproof recently announced the availability of an MDM API, wherein managed service providers and value-added resellers can easily integrate MDM into their service offering using it.
