Dimension Data Announces Cloud Backup for Sydney Residents

ICT solutions and services provider Dimension Data has announced that it will soon debut its Cloud Backup service for Sydney, Australia residents. The company is adding the Cloud Backup as an optional backup and restores service to its enterprise-class Public, Private and Hosted Private Compute-as-a-Service (CaaS) offerings.
The company is providing the Cloud Backup service in three different classes such as : Cloud Backup Essentials with file and folder backup and restore options; Cloud Backup Advanced with file, folder, and system state backup and restore options and Cloud Backup Enterprise with file, folder, system state, and application backup and restore utilities.
Ideal for use with cloud solution providers, developers, IT managers, or global CIOs, the new cloud back helps in taking back up of the entire applications and it updates business continuity and data recovery for enterprise workloads.
David Hanrahan, General Manager for Dimension Data’s (News - Alert) Cloud Services said, “Australia is experiencing tremendous growth in cloud services, making the need for Cloud Backup more critical. Offering integrated Cloud Backup further differentiates Dimension Data and enables our clients to reliably and cost-effectively outsource their strategic backup requirements using our pay-as-you-go model.”
Users can easily set up Cloud Backup by using Dimension Data’s CloudControl self-service Web portal or application programming interface (API). The service model is designed in such a way that the Backup option does not require any configuration when clients originally provision their environment. The service is currently available in the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East & Africa.
Apart from the integration of cloud back service, the company has recently included MCP offerings with Tiered Storage to its portfolio. This service is currently offered in three choices to help businesses pick the right size storage, and server Anti-Affinity for high availability and resiliency of mission critical workloads.
